Fishnets

Even though I am not a man, but fishnet tights worn by a woman have always excited my mind. Remember the seductive feeling when looking at Hollywood retro glam divas. But myself being more of a shy person I’ve never ventured to wear them. Fortunately, this London Fashion Week  showed the perfect way of wearing this kind of hosiery – under denim. This is another way of showing off your feminine side along with love for denim. Try wearing your fishnets under distressed boyfriend jeans, for more ladylike look go for denim knee skirt or for the seductive look pair yours with denim shorts (Wow, that could be too much, but certainly head turning, specially with a biker jacket thrown over your shoulders)

If you are still gravitating towards more classic approach, see how some ladies are mastering this trend perfectly without looking slutty. Carine Roitfeld, for me I can’t imagine her not wearing this kind of tights once in a while, or Diane Kruger, lately spotted at Charles Finch and Chanel Pre-Oscar party, wearing fishnets with mini dress. I think that even pairing fishnets with a summer dress gives you even more charm than wearing just a dress.

So, there is one more thing that is on my wish list for the spring. – Oh no, wait I remember that I’ve still got Wolford’s the twenties pair from 2005. Got to go dig them out.

Even though it’s still freezing outside and recent photos from NY fashion week are substantiating this, the feeling of approaching spring is keeping me optimistic. Hope you’re in positive mood too. Some of you, who may be not, just need a boost of vitamins after a long winter avitaminosis period.(Just kidding) – taking my berry-green smoothie.

I noticed that somehow in Spring, there is a particular mood of looking feminine, not taking into consideration current trends. Sometimes it corresponds, sometimes not. For me, I cant help but coveting one peace of wardrobe every spring – the dress. Floral. Made from natural, kind to skin fabric. Mini. Being wearable all day long.

This kind of dress makes you feel girly, free, fresh and reminds of your childhood (remember that careless feeling), when your mommy was trying to put on you dress, while you were more kind of boyish style and didn’t understand all that dressy prettiness. But time passes and you start feeling nostalgic about such moments. I’ve found some pretty ones in Marni, Erdem, Dolce & Gabbana and Valentino.

Some beautiful pieces you can find in young brand Reformation, adored by Karlie Kloss, Julia Restoin-Roitfeld.

But my recent find, that I’m so happy with is this beautiful playful dress from Topshop.
